Almost a Year in the Wilderness

So many things have occurred to me over the course of what has been a long and exciting journey that I now struggle to know where to begin. The traditional approach, from a brief study of literature over the previous few hundred years, appears to be at the beginning. There are notable exceptions.

Almost a year ago things had been so different. The excitement of working on a new website, watching our hopes and dreams of fame and fortune dwindle away. We knew it was time to up our game. But how?

Each of us retreated to our special places, there best to contemplate how best to achieve our goals with, preferably, as little work on our behalf as possible. Seconds turned to minutes, minutes to hours, hours to weeks, weeks took a step back to days before leapfrogging into months. It was a crazy time.

We were crazy people.

It’s all too easy to get lost, or to deceive yourself that you are lost. But sometimes you are actually lost. We weren’t and I’m not sure this paragraph is relevant. But that is how are minds were set during that period.

There is never a good time to reflect fully on what you might have achieved in almost a year, and this is not the platform for such contemplation nor disclosure. It should suffice to state that contemplation such as that detailed in the previous sentence did occur and that it was worthy of future study. And that brings us fully up to date.
